The Surrey Society of Magicians Annual Dinner 2024.

We had another amazing annual dinner, held at Kingswood Golf Club. The first act on our cabaret billing this year was Jamie Raven, the world renowned magician who tours internationally to packed out theatres and arenas and (as he mentioned himself) was

awarded second place on BGT a few years back (having been narrowly beaten by a three legged dog!). Jamie performed a torn and restored newspaper routine, a baffling rope routine and many more crowd pleasers, including one which involved the entire audience. His presentation was superb and the lay audience (the majority there) loved it.

Jamie was followed by the mayhem that is Raymond and Mr. Timpkins. Their cleverly put together act and sound track snippets had the audience roaring with laughter. Absolute chaos but great fun!

The venue and food were excellent and after the meal was served, members of the Surrey Society of Magicians toured all the tables to treat guests to some amazing close-up magic.

After all the acts were done there was a disco which went on past midnight. An amazing evening all round!

A big thank you to the two cabaret acts, all the close-up magicians and a special thank you to Adam Mosley and Geoff Pescud for organising such a memorable evening!
